It's very interesting to have the factories explained from the Chinese/worker's perspective
This may come off as ignorant, but raising wages for Foxconn may be problematic. The standard of living in China is is completely different than in America, so the Chinese working class isn't incredibly upset. After seeing the massive amount of people rushing into the building get $1.78 an hour, imagine the amount of people who would push and shove to earn wages similar to ones in the US. If wages increased in China, then companies like Apple would just move the factories to the US to give Americans jobs and dodge shipping costs. Then all of those Chinese workers would lose their jobs and wouldn't be able to support their families. Now I'm not saying the conditions in Foxconn aren't bad, I'm just saying there's a reason for it.
